Rakul Preet challenges Sidharth Malhotra and Taapsee Pannu to Rajyavardhan Rathore’s ‘Hum Fit Toh India Fit’ challenge

Not too long ago we had South superstar Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya and his actress-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu aka Samantha Akkineni giving each other fitness challenges. The fitness challenge #HumFitTohIndiaFit started by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore seems to have gained quite a bit of momentum with many Indian celebrities extending their support. Now yet another actress, who has ventured into South and Bollywood industry – Rakul Preet decided to take up this challenge.

This co-star of Naga Chaitanya also went on to challenge her friends from the fraternity which includes her Aiyaary co-star Sidharth Malhotra. Rakul Preet also challenged another South-Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and South actress Lakshmi Manchu. The video, which was posted on Twitter by Rakul, featured her doing exercises to showcase her fitness.

Interestingly, Rakul Preet Singh was nominated by none other than popular Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth for this fitness challenge. While both of them thanked Rathore for this initiative, Srikanth also challenged another South-Bollywood star Rana Daggubati. Besides the two he challenged former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

On the Bollywood front, Rakul Preet Singh was last seen in Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee. Post that the actress is said to have signed Akiv Ali’s next to be produced by Luv Ranjan. It stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles and is said to be an urban rom-com.

WATCH: Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Tiger Shroff take on Rajyavardhan Rathore's Fitness Challenge

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has always taken physical and mental fitness very seriously. The former professional shooter turned politician has given some of the known celebrities a special task. He took to this Twitter to urge the Indian citizens to follow a better and healthy lifestyle. After urging the citizens to participate, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore challenged Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, shuttler Saina Nehwal, and Hrithik Roshan to join the #FitnessChallenge to inspire others. After Hrithik, many celebrities have started a chain of tags and have urged others to continue the challenge. Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Tiger Shroff have joined the bandwagon.

Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram to take the challenge and revealed that she is passionate about fitness and loves running. She has challenged all of her friends from sports fraternity. She captioned the video, “I am extremely passionate about fitness…and my new obsession…running! Thank You @pvsindhu1 ! I challenge @mithaliraj @ranirampal4 @aditigolf #HumFitTohIndiaFit.”

Anushka Sharma was challenged by her hubby Virat Kohli and she sportingly took on the challenge. She has now challenged her friends Dipika Pallikal and Sui Dhaaga co-star Varun Dhawan. Sharing a video from her gym, she was seen lifting weights. She captioned the video. “I accept your challenge @imVKohli. Here’s my video for the #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge. I’d like to nominate my friends, @DipikaPallikal and @Varun_dvn Great initiative @Ra_THORe sir! #ComeOutAndPlay.”

Tiger Shroff is the third one to take up the challenge. He showed off his insane gymnastic skills as he did the flip with such an ease. He has challenged Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor and Karan Johar. Tiger wrote, “Tareeke anek par maksad sirf ek #HumFitTohIndiaFit – great initiative by @Ra_THORe sir ???? thank you @iHrithik sir, i’d like to nominate @sonamakapoor, @karanjohar and @FarOutAkhtar to take the #FitnessChallenge forward.”

On the work front, Deepika Padukone is currently going through scripts before she locks in her next project. Anushka Sharma, on the other hand, will be seen in two films this year- Sui Dhaaga: Made in India and Zero. Tiger Shroff is currently shooting for Student of the Year 2 which will release in November, this year.

WATCH: Hrithik Roshan takes Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's Fitness Challenge and goes cycling on Mumbai streets

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has given some of the known celebrities a special task. The former professional shooter, on Tuesday, took to this Twitter to urge the Indian citizens to follow a better and healthy lifestyle. After urging the citizens to participate, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has also challenged Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, shuttler Saina Nehwal and Hrithik Roshan to join the #FitnessChallenge to inspire others.

“#HumFitTohIndiaFit Post pictures and videos of how you keep yourself fit and send a #FitnessChallenge to your friends on social media. Here’s my video and I challenge @iHrithik, @imVkohli & @NSaina to join in,” Rajyavardhan Rathore tweeted earlier this week along with a video. He said, “Whenever I see Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I get inspired by him. He has a lot of energy. He is working all day long. He wants to see India fit. So, I am getting inspired by him and taking some time off my work to engage in some fitness activities.”

Hrithik Roshan took up the challenge and has taken it on the streets of Mumbai. He was cycling and shared a video from the same challenge. He captioned it, “This initiative makes me so proud ! Bravo @Ra_THORe #HumFitTohIndiaFit  #FitnessChallenge this is how I commute to my office everyday. sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India get FIT!”

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing a Patna based Math teacher Anand Kumar in Super 30. The actor will be seen portraying a North Indian (Bihari) role for the first time and the fans are more than excited to witness the unusual character of Hrithik.
